From Manhattan and Brooklyn’s trendiest neighborhoods to the far-flung corners of the five boroughs, photographer Will Ellis has spent the last three years documenting the lost and lonely corners of the United State’s most populous city and recording their history on AbandonedNYC.com. Now, his first photo book of the same name catalogues sixteen of New York’s most beautiful and mysterious ruins, paired with detailed essays on the fascinating stories behind these forgotten sites.

Tonight, join Will on a visual tour of some of his favorite destinations, with harrowing tales from his own adventures and eye-opening histories of places like Dead Horse Bay, Creedmoor State Hospital, the Harlem Renaissance Ballroom, and the Gowanus Batcave, to name a few.
