This is a hand sculpted porcelain flower painted pink on the edges with a violet porcelain eyeball at its center. The flower and the eyeball are also both hand painted, the eyeball hand sculpted. Please look at the photos for scale.

Elizabeth New is an artist and designer who has been working in various media for more than fifteen years. During this time she has exhibited around the country, showing her work at Clayspace 1205, NYC’s Nasty Women Exhibition, NYCxDesign, the Morbid Anatomy Museum, the Pacific Northwest College of Art, the Oregon College of Art and Craft, among others.

She has participated in residencies at Ash Street Project, the Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts and the Pacific Northwest College of Art and has been awarded the Kostellow Fellowship at Pratt Institute as well as the Window of Opportunity Grant from the Leeway Foundation in Philadelphia.

In 2012 Elizabeth received her Masters in Industrial Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Before Pratt, she attended the Oregon College of Art and Craft, and received her BFA from Alfred University. Elizabeth currently lives and works in New York.
